Family Empowerment Project in Bangladesh
Giving someone a job or a set of skills is the best way to take one out of poverty and dependency to independency and prosperity. Thus, training them or giving them tools/equipment in order for them to use and earn a living. Alhamdulillah, G&Y have distributed over 470 Rickshaws and around 1074 Sewing Machines to individuals, which in turn has helped them to have an income and own assets. The cost of each Family Empowerment Proejct is £250 for a Rickshaw, £200 for a Fishing Boat, and £80 for a Sewing Machine.
Sewing Machine Project
A sewing machine empowers a woman to earn, develop business skills on micro level and being able to develop independency.
Rickshaw Project
Goreeb and Yateem to date have provided more than 120 Rickshaws to the poor and needy drivers around Bangladesh.
Fishing Boat Project
Bangladesh has thousands of rivers lining the country, and as a result, fishing is a primary source of their diet and also livelihood.
